Little Red
Little Red was bought at an auction as a cow/calf pair, but the auction got the pairing screwed up and Little Red came to the ranch without a Mother. She was only a month old, and she was wild. Tommy said that for about a year and a half nothing grew on her but her stomach because she didn’t get any milk, just grass. (Cattlemen call them dogeys.) She always stayed by herself. Everyone picked on her – Tommy never imagined that Little Red would grow into the beautiful cow she has become. I love seeing her with Tippy – she is a very attentive momma and to look at her now you would never know that she was a wild little runt. She’s beautiful.
