Chickens & Roosters
The chickens and roosters are a mixture of color, personality, and love. They all have different stories on where they came from and how they got here. Most were used as a commodity, with their eggs taken from them for human consumption or being raised for slaughter. Thankfully they all ended up here at Rowdy Girl Sanctuary where they can live out their life freely from harm.
The are beautiful. 🙂
I love my baby rooster and he loves me.
But the city does not allow him…
Need to rehome a rooster, we are getting out of the chicken business and he is the last after predators took out the others.
Need to rehome 3 roosters, got them as chicks but are not allowed rooster in the city.
I have 4 Black Australorp cockerels @ 9 weeks old. Can’t find anyone to take them. Do you take in unwanted roosters?
We got some chicks months back not knowing one was a rooster and can’t keep it in the city limits are you able to take him he is a turkin red feathers can send a picture if needed.
I have a 10-week-old Barred Rock rooster. As with others, our town won’t allow roosters. He has both looks and personality! Of the six chicks that we were raising, “she” was our favorite, and we’re sick about having to give him up. And she/he was the only one we named. Fluff. Now Fluff-a-roo-roo. Most of the sanctuaries here in MA are full. Looking for help… Thanks for your consideration.
