Annalise was brought to Rowdy Girl Sanctuary by Jay Palomo of Houston Animal Save. The brave activists from Houston Animal Save frequently hold vigils at area slaughterhouses, and this little baby goat was easily recognizable because of her lame back leg. Jay asked the slaughterhouse owner if he could save the baby’s life since she was injured, and the owner agreed to let Jay take her.
When Jay contacted Rowdy Girl, the team quickly jumped into action to accommodate this beautiful girl. Annalise had been with her mother and siblings at the slaughterhouse, but their fate was not as fortunate as Annalise’s. The activists were all excited that this baby goat was getting a second chance at life, as she so deserved.
Annalise is now happy and healthy, and her back right leg is perfect! Her leg was wrapped and massaged every day for three months, and now she loves her life. She is like a child to those who care for her!
