Pip & Obi’s Story

This is Pip and Obi and they are safe and protected forever. They were raised in an FFA school system and destined to be slaughtered, but the family couldn’t bear the thought of it.

Bel loves them so much. Every holiday she sends them a care package of lots of great bunny treats and enrichment toys that keeps them busy for days.

This is Bel’s story:

My niece is studying to be a vet, and when she was in High School, she was in FFA. Her first year, she got several bunnies and when the year was out she was able to keep two of them, Obi and Pip. They were part of our family for nearly 4 years. Unfortunately, a year and a half ago, my niece left for school and was not able to take the boys with her. She lived in a dorm and then an apartment and, even if the bunnies would have been allowed, they were used to having space to roam, a big backyard, etc. so it would have been wrong to confine them to small spaces. It was the same for me and the small place I rent in the city. No space, no backyard, etc. At first we thought her mother was going to be able to keep them in the house, but suddenly she said no, that she didn’t want to care for the bunnies and that if we didn’t get them out immediately, she was going to cook them. That’s when I found out about Rowdy and was able to get the boys to their new home. I am so very grateful and I will do my darndest to come see them.”
