Stella’s Story
Stella, whose nickname is Constellation, is the daughter of Rowdy Girl and her father, Frosty. She earned the name Constellation because, when she was born, she looked like she had black stars studded all over her little body. Stella has always been especially gorgeous and has never known what it means to be abused, sold, confined, or to be on a kill floor. She is family.
As little Stella grew, her horns began to develop, and she started to show a bit of a cocky attitude. She has always been closely bonded with the sanctuary’s founder Renee, who loves her like a granddaughter—because, in a way, she is. The founder never had human children but has been honored to be called “Cow Mama” to the rowdy herd. Stella can be a little feisty and has no problem swinging her horns if she feels like it, but she and the founder have a truce: as long as the founder gets on the ground and inches slowly towards her, speaking softly and kindly, Stella complies.
Stella is dearly loved, and the founder loves her to the “moon” and back—no pun intended.
