Tito’s Story

After raising him in FFA (Future Farmers of America), Tito’s family just could not send him off to auction where he would be sold to the highest bidder and end up slaughtered. Humans form unbreakable bonds with animals. Tito was raised by Luke who poured his heart and soul into that being. Our Families Choosing Compassion Program gave Luke’s family a humane and compassionate alternative. Tito will grow up here at Rowdy Girl Sanctuary and be loved on for the rest of his life.

Luke’s mom Michelle shared this with us.

“Tito quickly became the barn mascot at our son’s FFA barn. He had injured his right leg and was unable to continue as a show goat. He enjoys being around people and loves to have his ears scratched. His injury really hasn’t slowed him down and enjoys running and jumping around with the other goats in the barn. We needed to find a home for him as the other goats and animals at the barn were either going back to the breeder or sent out to slaughter. We just couldn’t see taking him to slaughter and wanted to find a home where he could live out the rest of his days naturally. We are so grateful to have found Rowdy Girl Sanctuary and appreciate everything that Renee and her team do to provide a loving and safe place for all the animals.”
