HeartWorking Volunteer Day

It’s that time again! We need your hearts and your hands for our annual HeartWorking Volunteer Day at Rowdy Girl. Join us for a day of volunteer work, socializing with fellow animal advocates and awesome raffle items!
Volunteer work will include everything from working on an old barn to cleaning, gardening and sheep shearing.
It’s always a blessing to share this annual volunteer day with you. Our sanctuary land used to be a working pig farm in the 1930’s. Your participation and contribution on Heart Working Volunteer Day is a blessing and we will consecrate your efforts with a prayer and ritual before we begin. Your hearts and hands are changing the land and the lives of all that call Rowdy Girl home.
We can’t wait to see all of the RGS family out here together.

All volunteers will receive It’s Jerky Y’all from All Y’alls Foods, Beyond Meat, Celeste’s Best desserts, and other delicious vegan food.
All Y’alls Foods will be sponsoring lunch that will be brought and served by Happea Vegans.
Desserts provided by Celeste’s Best.
Vegan cheese assortment provided by Treeline Cheesemakers.
Beyond Meat is donating food and raffle items.
The Cornucopia is donating a big box of bananas.
Raffle items and samples provided by V-Dog.
Raffle items provided by Wimberley Dental and Wellness and Willow Gardens Yoga.
Schedule
10:00 AM – 10:45 AM: Mandatory Orientation and Q&A
11:00 AM – 1:30 PM: Volunteer Work
1:45 PM – 2:45 PM: Lunch and Raffle
3:00 PM – 4:30 PM: Volunteer Work
4:30PM – 5:00 PM: Final Raffle and Meet Animals
What to Wear and Bring
- Rubber boots
- Gloves
- Light or warm jacket (check the weather)
- Long pants
- Mosquito repellent & sunscreen
- OPTIONAL:
- Hat
- Personal hand tools
- Snacks (vegan only)
Requirements
Volunteers must be 14 years of age or older and MUST ATTEND the orientation where the safety rules and procedures will be explained. If you are unable to make the orientation, you will not be allowed to volunteer.
All volunteers must complete the Volunteer Form below.

Rowdy Girl Sanctuary is located in Waelder, TX, approximately 45 minutes from the Austin airport and 2 and 1/2 hours from Houston.
