Every animal at Rowdy Girl Sanctuary has a story — but some stories require a little more space, patience, and care to truly heal.
Our special needs pasture is home to some of our most fragile souls — cows who move slowly, live with old injuries, or just need a little extra peace.
Right now, nine residents call this pasture home, including Flower and Maggie — two best friends who recently found refuge here after nearly being sold for slaughter.
But with their arrival the special needs space has become overcrowded, and more bovine friends are waiting for a safe, quiet pasture to heal.
Your Giving Tuesday gift can help expand this haven so every resident has room to rest, graze, and simply be free.

Florida Panda, one of our gentle elders, has lost weight because younger herd members sometimes push her away from the hay rings so she’s not getting enough to eat.
Because of this, she needs to move into the special needs pasture where she can eat as much as she needs without being bothered.
Her daughter, Splash, will move in too. She never leaves her mama’s side — they’re inseparable.
And soon, Texas Panda, who’s been slowing down, will soon join them as well—a family of beloved friends finding comfort, safety, and sanctuary among others with special needs.
Our special needs herd is growing, and their needs are growing with them. By expanding this space to hold even more cows — from 9 to 14 — we can give every one of them the comfort, care, and freedom they deserve —because of you.
This Giving Tuesday, we’re raising $20,000 to add 5 wooded acres for shade, much needed space, and shelter — expanding our special needs pasture to a total of 10 acres.

Here’s the breakdown:
- Fence and secure the 5-acre extension for safety and grazing – $7,000
- Install a new water line with PVC pipe for fresh, reliable drinking water – $1,400
- Adding 4 new feeding troughs and hay rings to keep these cows fed – $2,600
- Build a new lean-to shed for protection from the elements – $9,000
This expansion isn’t just about more land — it’s about giving every resident who’s been through trauma and suffering the chance to live with dignity and peace for the rest of their lives.
