			Wrinkly’s Story
Oliver—affectionately known as Wrinkly—is one of the most endearing souls at Rowdy Girl Sanctuary. He’s the son of Freckles, a cow rescued from a backyard slaughterhouse in Florida, and he was born here on April 1, 2017. From the moment he entered the world, Wrinkly stood out, his little forehead full of folds that earned him the nickname that stuck.
Over the years, Wrinkly has grown into a gentle giant. He may be big, but his heart is even bigger. Friendly, curious, and incredibly docile, Wrinkly is the first to greet you at the fence line, slobbering his warm welcome and leaning in for neck scratches. He delights in resting his enormous head in Tommy’s lap, especially when Tommy comes armed with chunks of juicy watermelon.

Wrinkly is part of a family that means everything to him. His siblings are Jordan and the late Star, and though he lost his sister too soon, Wrinkly has always carried a sweetness and steadiness that reflects the depth of those bonds. Like his mama Freckles, he embodies resilience, proving that even those born into systems of suffering can flourish when given safety and love.
What makes Wrinkly truly special is how personal he is with his affection. He doesn’t just stand nearby—he insists on closeness, pressing into you with the kind of trust and tenderness that takes your breath away. Everyone should meet a steer like Wrinkly, because once you do, you’ll understand what we already know: cows aren’t commodities. They’re family, they’re friends, and they’re someone.
Wrinkly’s only desire is simple yet profound: to love, and to be loved right back. And here at Rowdy Girl Sanctuary, that’s exactly the life he’ll always have.
