Fireball is a year and a half old steer that came to us by way of someone I met in Brazoria a couple of years ago. She had been following my journey on FB and knew us when we used to have a concrete business a few years ago. In watching my posts she said she was inspired – she’s been vegetarian for awhile and was now considering the vegan life. Then she told me about Fireball – her son raised Fireball as a baby in the FFA system – he loved Fireball and when it came time to show him, he didn’t win – he placed but was not the blue ribbon winner so he wasn’t going to pull in the real big money. My friend didn’t want Fireball to be slaughtered she told me so they bought him back and pastured him at a family members place. The family member that was pasutring Fireball is in declining health and they can’t care for him like he deserves and because they don’t want him to end up in the slaughter system, they called me and I was thrilled to give Fireball a forever home – My nickname for him is MR. HANDSOME.
Fireball is available to sponsor in our Adopt an Animal Program. Read about it here.
