I’ve spent most of my life advocating for farm animals. I’ve looked for many years for a sanctuary where I could volunteer. Rowdy Girl Sanctuary has provided me the opportunity to get up close and personal with the precious animals that I so love! ~ Stephanie Williams

I feel very blessed to be a volunteer for Rowdy Girl Sanctuary.  When my family and I moved to Texas from my home state of Maryland two years ago, it was an answer to my prayers that I stumbled across the a Vegan Journal of a Rancher’s Wife.  It was already a chaotic time in our lives to start a new life in a small town but expecting to be the only vegetarian family for many miles around was disheartening.  We knew a few vegetarian and vegan people in the Maryland/DC area and grew close to some so not having a connection in Texas, I felt desperate and started reaching out on Facebook.  I almost gave up on meeting anyone in the south Texas area until I read Renee’s amazing story and knew I was lead to be a part of this great adventure in the heart of cattle country.  I also became vegan during my Facebook research so I feel doubly blessed. ~ Nancy Evans
