Cinnamon

Cinnamon comes to us from Brookshire, TX – she is a full blood Brahman show cow with registration papers.  The ranch has some 50 cows on it that are bred to show as a hobby – unfortunately because of the sad system we have if a cow aint reproducing she’s considered “useless” to the business.  This beautiful being was going to be slaughtered the very weekend we rescued her.  Minutes after the ABC 13 Houston News story http://abc13.com/733238/ Cinnamon’s caretakers contacted us desperate for sanctuary – the owner, their Father and former ex husband of this Mother and daughter team wanted her sent to the sale barn and she would’ve been slaughtered because she has a cyst on an ovary that deems her undesirable and of no use to a breeding facility for show cows.

Thank you Deborah Wrigley of ABC for this story.  Cinnamon is a God-send – she is truly the epitome of an old soul and her emotions are seen and felt.

Cinnamon is available to sponsor in our Adopt an Animal Program. Read about it here.
